Since my legs have been feeling kinda funny this week, I took it nice and slow on today's short run around a fairly flat 5.5km route.
The good news is, my legs felt fine! Absolutely no pain in my shins and my joints weren't feeling too tired or achey. I think these legs are ready to go out for another long run again tomorrow!
The bad news is, my arms are killing me! Is it possible that I'm an even bigger weakling than I thought?! All the more reason to keep it up and work on strengthening those arms. Maybe one day I'll work up from the 3 lb weights to the 5 lb weights! I'm serious - I'm really that weak!
More good news: I finished an online course I've been working on (and dragging my feet on) last night, freeing up more time in my schedule for running!
And still more good news: My grandma called this week with possible dates for her to come out to BC for a visit! I have lived in 4 other countries and she has always talked about visiting, but we've never got quite as far as planning dates. I think she might actually make it across our own country to see me this spring!

ReplyDeleteRock on..your run went great!! No pain in your legs or shins is another huge bonus:) Congrats on finishing your online class! I think that I would really have a hard time with online classes:( I would not be a very good student.
