Goal!

As I completed my 5 mile run today, I could hear the announcers screaming it out, just like in a hockey game. Have I been watching too much Olympics? Probably. Is hearing voices in my head a sign that I'm going crazy? Almost definitely. Did I reach my goal of running 3 times a week every week in February, working towards a 5 mile run at the end of the month? You betcha!

Treadmill games or not, I couldn't bear the thought of running for that long on the treadmill, so I sucked up my winter wimpiness and went outside for today's run. I've been running 10 minute miles for my 3 mile runs on the treadmill and it's been feeling a little too easy. That was my pace for the 5 miles today, and it felt pretty good. It was very windy, or I might have gone a little faster.

My goal for March:

By the end of March I will be able to run 8 miles for my long run, by increasing my long run each week by 10%. I will run 4 times each week, and do intervals at least once a week on the treadmill, upping my pace each week by at least one point.
