I'm a week away from finishing the Pooch to 5K plan with Cookie. She has done really well with the plan and it has worked well for both of us. It built really slowly, and I think that's why it works so well. It's also based on time, rather than distance, which I think is better to focus on when you're not going that far! In the past, I know I would have been eager to get into longer distances as quickly as possible, but I don't want to run too far, too soon with the Cookie Monster. Also, in the long term, I want to get faster before I tackle another marathon. Instead, in November, I just want to add a 4th day of running to our routine, and keep aiming for 60 minutes of exercise every day, but with no more than 30 minutes of running/day. I like having some kind of plan to go from, so I'm working on putting something together, which might include some tempo runs toward the end of the month.

Your doggie is too cute! Love the ears!! You are very smart in starting off a little slower. At the end, all what matters is that you have fun. And I'm sure you and your training partner enjoy the time together!
