Get Out!

I didn't think I'd ever make it out the door today.  After taking a few days off for the roadtrip to Calgary with Grandma, I'm a bit behind at work so I needed to cross a few things off my to do list before I went for a run.  Despite starting my day at 8am, by the time I got through a couple of items, it was already noon, and getting pretty warm.  I opted for a run on the treadmill at the gym instead of a sunburn.  Sometimes I'm not even busy and it takes me ages to get out the door - Does that ever happen to you?

I ran 1200m to warm up, followed by 4x400m at 8:00min/mile pace.  I'm pretty sure this is my fastest yet!  I ran 400m slower at 9:40min/mile and finished the end of 30minutes at the same pace (about a mile further).

My ankle is still feeling a bit off.  Not painful, but not quite right.  Hrm...

The chicks arrived last night and are soooooo cute, but also kinda scary.  Did I mention I have a mild fear of birds?  Oops!  I'm trying to bond with them now while they are small so they won't attack me later when they are big.  Pictures soon!

FYI - Day 16 and still no Ice Capps for me!!!

  6. Way to go on the run! Speed worjouts are NOT my favorite but I do feel so great when they are OVER!

I am completely freaked out by birds. Without a doubt I'd rather have a snake in my home than a bird.

  7. Just wanted to write back about your comment today.. .I agree it's easy to become tied to teh scale in terms of daily success. Instead maybe try spending some time focusing on your different body areas and pick only 1 day where you step on the scale. None of it is easy, but small steps can definitely help change our thinking
