I have just come back from 2 weeks of absolutely wonderful, computer, cell phone, technology free vacation in Alaska. It was also a run-free vacation, but I did do a lot of hiking! I will post some pictures soon!
To answer your question about running on the treadmill: It is a combination of reasons. 1) It is too humid and hot to run outside, still. Yep. 2) Really bad local morning news. 3) This lady in her late 50s comes into the Y and we just started talking. She is really fun! With the really bad local news, we just jabbed and poked fun at the news and early tv commercials (like a breakfast burrito with sausage, bacon, eggs, and tater tots all in a wrap!)
It is not always easy. Some days are easier than others. But that's what running is right? A mental sport? And I am going to work on winning the mental part.
That sounds fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThat must have been awesome! I dream about visiting Alaska one day.
ReplyDeleteJealous!!! That sounds like something I would totally need. I'm glad you had an amazing time - you deserve it :)
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect!
